My name is Tawny Lianne, and I am the author of Nutrition is Medicine. I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) and also have a B.Sc. in chemistry. As you can see, I am crazy about nutrition (also cats, but that is a topic for another day).

What makes me different from all the rest?

I don’t believe that there is one perfect diet that everyone should be following. Every person has completely unique body chemistry, so it makes sense that different things will work for different people. I believe that listening to your body will help you determine which diet will work best for you. Diets that I think are great include the paleo diet, clean eating, traditional eating (as outlined by the Weston A Price Foundation), GAPS, and vegetarian (not including veganism). Personally I feel my best on a combination of traditional and clean eating. With a background in chemistry I feel that I bring a unique perspective to the world of nutrition. It is extremely important to know how to read research papers and how to reference your work with credible sources. If you would like a basic run down on information credibility, check out my article “How to Avoid Spreading False Information“.
